How Pretty Good AI is priced

We do not publish a list price, and we are not going to pretend that is a feature. What we will do is show you exactly what gets metered, what never gets billed, and the four things that decide your number. Pricing is month-to-month only, with no setup fee, no implementation fee, and your first 30 days live are free before the first invoice. We start with your biggest pain point and a clear measure of success.

The short answer

Pretty Good AI pricing has three metered components: a monthly platform fee per practice location, a per-provider fee for the modules switched on, and usage-based voice priced per call handled. Your first 30 days live are free in your own athenaOne environment, with your staff, on live calls. Pricing is month-to-month only: we earn your trust every month, and if it is not working, you can cancel.

What gets metered

01

Platform, per location

Metered on: Each practice location you turn on, per month

A monthly platform fee covers the live athenaOne connection for a location: the integration itself, the configuration work behind it, monitoring, and support. It steps down as you add locations, so a group running dozens of sites does not pay the same per-location rate as a single office.

02

AI team modules, per provider

Metered on: Each provider covered by the modules you switch on, per month

The AI modules that work the athenaOne back end — referral intake, schedule and capacity, revenue protection, outcomes and KPIs — are priced per provider covered, per month; exact metering is agreed case-by-case in the order form. Turning on another module does not require a separate vendor, because 500+ athenaOne APIs are already connected underneath all of them.

03

Voice, by the call

Metered on: Each call the AI actually handles

Voice is metered per call, and different outcomes carry different rates: a call the AI contains end to end is priced differently from one it warm-transfers to your staff or takes as a voicemail. If your call volume drops in a quiet month, so does that line of your invoice.

What never shows up on the invoice

  • Hang-ups, wrong numbers and spam. Calls that never became work are not billable events.
  • Your first 30 days live are free.
  • Extra athenaOne API access. The integration is not an add-on module you buy back later.
  • Setup and implementation. There is no setup fee and no implementation fee.

Terms that keep the decision simple

Pricing is month-to-month only, with no annual commitment. We prove and earn ROI every month; if it is not working, you can cancel.

There is no setup fee and no implementation fee. Your first 30 days live are free in your own athenaOne environment, with your staff, on live calls. Easy to get in, even easier to get out.

What decides your number

Locations

How many sites go live, and in what order. This is the single largest driver.

Providers

How many providers the modules cover. This is what scales the module line.

Call volume

Your real monthly inbound and outbound volume, and how much of it the AI is expected to contain rather than route.

Modules

Whether you are starting at the front door with voice, or turning on referral intake, schedule and capacity, revenue protection and KPIs at the same time.

Why we quote instead of publishing a price

A per-seat number on a web page is easy to publish and easy to be wrong about. The same practice shape — say twelve providers across three locations — can differ by an order of magnitude in call volume depending on specialty, payer mix and how much of the phone tree the practice wants handled rather than routed. Quote a flat price against that and you either overcharge the quiet practice or lose money on the busy one, and one of those two conversations ends badly a few months in.

So we meter the things that actually move: location count, provider count, monthly call volume and module mix. Your first 30 days live come first, in your own athenaOne environment on live calls; then we put a month-to-month order form in writing so you can check the offer against reality.

If you want a rough model before that conversation, the fastest inputs are location count, provider count, monthly call volume and module mix. That is enough to size it.

What you are paying for

Four parts, one platform, and each part uses the others. The pricing below covers all four on one integration — you are not buying a patient-engagement vendor and then buying referrals and revenue separately.

Patient engagement

We bring patients in and keep them close

We pick up the phone, day and night. Patients reach you by phone, text, chat or video. They book, reschedule, ask for a refill or get an answer. We call and text for you too — confirmations, recalls, and open slots to fill. Our AI remembers what a patient already told your practice, across every channel, so nobody repeats themselves.

Workflow automation

We do the staff work that piles up

A cancellation, a new referral, an overdue follow-up or a staff request starts a job. We do the steps, reach the patient if we need to, and hand the rest to your staff with everything they need. Your team sees the work in the Pretty Good AI Console or right inside athenaOne. Clinical decisions stay with your care team, always.

Referral management

We turn referrals into first visits

Referrals arrive by fax, portal and form. We track each one from intake to first visit, chase the missing information, reach the patient and book the visit. You see where every referral stands, and where the funnel leaks.

Revenue cycle

We keep revenue moving

Money leaks around every visit. We check insurance before the visit, track approvals so visits are not held up, call patients about balances, set up payment plans, and follow up on the claims your team hands us. Built to your billing team’s rules.

We only do athenaOne

One system means we go deep. We connect 500+ of the roughly 800 endpoints athenahealth exposes, and we read and write the real record — no middleware. Most vendors in this category connect ten or twelve. That depth is what lets a workflow finish instead of stopping at a handoff.

We build yours

If you can write down the rule, we can automate it. Your scheduling rules, your intake questions, your handoffs, your billing follow-up. And if another athenaOne marketplace app does a workflow you need, we can build it for you — same APIs, your rules, one vendor.

Live and measured

100,000+
patient calls a month, at more than one customer
About 60%
of those calls handled start to finish by the AI at the largest deployments
Hundreds
of providers inside a single group
20
specialties on our athenahealth Marketplace listing

The mix is deliberately wide: FQHCs, family practice and primary care, OB-GYN, behavioral health, orthopedics, pulmonology and sleep, gastroenterology, urology, urgent care and surgery centers among them. Different specialties break the front office in different places, and the rules that fix them are not the same rules.

Customer-reported results. Your numbers will vary by workflow, staffing, seasonality and call mix.

Month to month, no setup fees. We build your first workflow before you pay anything, then the first 30 days live are free from the day it goes live — not the day we start building.

We don’t sell AI. We build yours.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Pretty Good AI cost?
Pretty Good AI does not publish a list price. Pricing is built from three metered components — a monthly platform fee per practice location, a per-provider fee for the modules switched on, and usage-based voice priced per call handled — and the total depends on your location count, provider count, monthly call volume and module mix. Practices get a written quote after the first workflow and a short scoping call.
How does Pretty Good AI pricing work?
Three components are metered: platform per location per month, a per-provider fee for the modules switched on, and voice per call handled. Calls the AI contains end to end, calls it warm-transfers to staff, and voicemails are priced separately from one another. Hang-ups, wrong numbers and spam calls are not billed at all.
Is there a setup or implementation fee?
No, neither. There is no setup fee and no implementation fee. Your first 30 days live are free, so the work proves its value before the month-to-month order form.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Pricing is month-to-month only, with no annual commitment: we earn your trust and prove ROI every month, and if it is not working you can cancel.
Is there a free trial, and what does it include?
Your first 30 days live are free, in your own athenaOne environment, with your staff, on live calls. The clock starts when your first workflow goes live. It is designed to prove how our team works, confirm fit between your needs and our abilities, and demonstrate ROI — you judge the results before deciding to continue.
What happens when we grow?
Pricing scales with usage, providers and locations. New workflows are priced when you turn them on, and everything stays month-to-month.
Why does Pretty Good AI not publish prices on its website?
Because the honest number depends on inputs we do not know until we look: location count, provider count, monthly call volume and module mix. A published per-seat price would be accurate for one practice shape and wrong for every other one. We would rather quote you a number we can stand behind than advertise one we would have to renegotiate.
How do I get a quote from Pretty Good AI?
Start with your biggest pain point and a clear measure of success. Bring your location count, provider count, monthly call volume and module mix; after the first workflow and scoping conversation, we will put a month-to-month order form in writing.
